The Grizzlies' Massive Move: Ja Morant's Reaction

Grizzlies player Desmond Bane signed a five-year, $207M deal extension, citing ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Bane's star teammate Ja Morant, who has been off social media all summer, responded to the big move on Twitter:

Morant and Bane are a top NBA backcourt. Bane has really complimented All-NBA player Morant, averaging 21.5 PPG, 5.0 RPG, and 4.4 APG last season.

Last season, Bane was one of the league's finest three-point shooters, converting 40.8%.

$207M seems like a lot for a player who has never been an All-Star, but Bane is 25 and has All-Star potential.

Bane is the perfect guard next to Morant and can score when Morant is out, even at his current productivity.

The Grizzlies want to develop around Morant, Bane, and 23-year-old Defensive Player of the Year Jaren Jackson Jr.

Extending Bane is the first step, and Memphis aims to keep adding to its strong core.
