The 10 Best Nail Looks from the 2024 Met Gala

 No red carpet has as much drama as the Met Gala. Each year, we see the most stunning, well-planned outfits with matching beauty looks. As expected, nail looks are meticulously chosen.  

 Mei Kawajiri used Nailboo gel materials to create gorgeous roses on Gigi Hadid's coffin-shaped French manicure to complement her Thom Browne gown.

 “Emma’s nails were a special project and so much fun to create,” says nail artist Thuy Nguyen. I worked with her stylist, Jared Ellner, to find the same lace for her final nail look this year.

 Zendaya's simple deep chocolate-cherry nails complete her makeup look’s color story. Her dark, dreamy plum eye shadow, blush, and lipstick inspire the nails.  


 Sabrina has been wearing a lot of blues, which suit her and emphasize her eyes, says nail artist Zola Ganzorigt. "Her black and blue fairy tale costume was exquisite and timeless.

 Red-carpet manicures by Cynthia Erivo are usually noteworthy. Rose Hackle created a XXL stiletto with acrylics for the Met Gala. "Next, I applied natural earth elements directly to the nail, using dried beetles, succulents, rose petals.

 "Like a butterfly transforming in a shimmery chrysalis, I encased Jen's polished natural nail in a translucent pearl cocoon," explains famous nail artist Tom Bachik.

 "I wanted to replicate Demi's dress's mesmerizing embellishments on the nails," says manicurist Natalie Minerva. I started with OPI's I Cancer-tainly Shine and added a sheer white and silver chrome to match Demi's attire.

 Eri Ishizu designed Lizzo's translucent 3D floral nails. She started with Jenny Secret x Aprés Gel-X Stiletto Tips Extra Extra Extra Long ($20) and one coat of Beige Flag ($15) gel polish.   


 Manicurist Temeka Jackson says Lil Nas X's understated yet striking look, studded with over 50,000 Swarovski crystals, inspired her.
