Taylor Swift to Break Records with Eras Tour's European Leg as Merch Sales Touch $500M

The European leg of Taylor Swift's Eras tour begins this summer, promising more records.

The 34-year-old “Cruel Summer” singer is planning for 51 gigs in 13 European nations over five months to break her record numbers from last year.

In 2023, Swift became the first artist to earn $1 billion from a tour.Previous record-holder Elton John's Farewell Yellow Brick Road tours grossed $939 million.

John performed 328 times last year, compared to Swift's 60.

Taylor Swift's Eras tour has grown to 152 concerts this year, and her retail sales are impressive.

Fans, known as “Swifties,” are merchandise addicts. Industry experts are shocked by the estimated sales, which would exceed $250 million last year.

On the Asian tour earlier this year, almost 100,000 product items were sold in one day, not including venue sales.

“Michael Jackson never saw numbers like this,” said an industry expert.
