Shorty, it's your birthday: 50 Cent blows out 20 candles for "Get Rich or Die Tryin'" at Jiffy Lube Live.

At Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, Virginia, 50 Cent performs “The Final Lap Tour” to commemorate the 20th anniversary of his breakthrough hip-hop album “Get Rich or Die Tryin'” (2003).

Has it really been 20 years since 50 Cent's 2003 debut? We were riding around with the windows down my senior year of high school blaring this unknown Curtis Jackson album with the words: "Damn, homie."

It seems like yesterday. Homie, you ruled high school!"

With a red album cover picturing the Queens, New York native defiantly standing through a bullet hole, the Top 10 selling rap album of all time “put the rap game in a chokehold”.

The rapper was shot nine times in 1999, leaving him with a dimple scar and canceling his debut album, "Power of the Dollar" (2000), despite singles like "Thug Love" with Destiny's Child.

“Get Rich or Die Tryin'” was his debut on Jimmy Iovine's Interscope Records, Eminem's Shady Records, Dr. Dre's Aftermath Records, and 50 Cent's G-Unit Records.

As 50 Cent sang, “Go shorty, it's your birthday” to Dre's ultimate banger, “In Da Club,” it reached No. 1.

Dre and Eminem wore lab coats in the song video to produce a fresh hip-hop specimen on treadmills.

After parties at Met Gala 2024, Shakira and Kelsea Ballerini wear less.
