NBA playoffs: Thunder beat Mavericks in Game 1 as youth wins again.

Oklahoma City won Tuesday night's dynamic duo matchup.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Chet Holmgren led the Thunder to a 117-95 triumph over Luka Dončić, Kyrie Irving, and the Dallas Mavericks in Game 1 of their Western Conference quarterfinal

The Thunder had a nine-point halftime lead following a tight start that deadlocked at 23 after the first quarter.

In the third, the Mavericks trimmed the advantage to one, but the Thunder responded with a run to reclaim double digits.

The Thunder won Game 1 convincingly because the Mavericks never threatened in the fourth quarter.
