Easy 5 Minute Banana Smoothie

This is all the banana smoothie recipe you'll ever need! It's so creamy and pleasant that both children and adults love it.

My favourite banana smoothie recipe takes under five minutes to prepare. It's excellent on its own, but you can easily add your favourite fruits, nut butter, or a handful of greens.

I use one banana to create one large or two smaller kid-sized smoothies. A ripe banana makes the greatest smoothie.

To make the creamiest banana smoothie, use frozen banana slices. I've explained how I freeze bananas for smoothies below.

Half an orange: When I have oranges on hand, I enjoy adding them to my morning smoothie. It provides additional vitamin C and tropical flavour. Replace oranges with other fruits, such as mango, pineapple, or strawberries.

Plain or Greek yoghurt: I enjoy adding a teaspoon for extra creaminess and protein. For a smoothie without yoghurt, add some extra fruit or vegetables such as spinach or kale.

Water or milk: I use a dash of liquid in the blender to help the smoothie components combine. Water can be used instead of milk to make a smoothie. It still tastes great. Add milk for extra richness  .

To prepare banana smoothies, I combine the banana, orange, yoghurt, and a splash of milk or water in a blender and process until smooth. For an icy cold smoothie, add a handful of ice or frozen fruits.
